University Preparation Program
The University Preparation program is an intensive program designed for high school graduates, university students, and professionals who plan to attend National University or another U.S. college or university and want to improve their academic skills or advance their professional career.

Curriculum
Levels 410-500:
Focus is on the development of a strong English foundation necessary for success in academic work and effective communication.
Levels 600 – 700:
The curriculum includes reading and discussion, academic writing and advanced grammar as well as public speaking and presentation skills.
Level 800:
The course focus is on academic research writing, effective presentations and communication. Graduates of level 820 fulfill National University’s English Proficiency requirement and may enter Academics without the need for TOEFL / IELTS examination scores.
Placement Testing and Payment
Before beginning class, students will take a placement test to determine their entry level. An application fee must be paid before taking the test. Students unable to test on the scheduled date may arrange for another date. However, a $25 fee is required.
