Arabic Culture, Context, and Language I Arabic Culture, Context, and Language 100

Language content includes:  Useful Phrases in Tourism, Business, Military and Government Operations, and the Arabic Alphabet.  Culture content includes topics such as:  Religion, Business Etiquette, Politics, Political Geography, and History. Students who wish to receive academic credit will be required to:

• Take a test demonstrating the ability to identify the characters of the alphabet 
• Write a 5-page essay relevant to the content of this module
• Complete level one module in the virtual language lab

On satisfactory completion of these additional requirements the student is awarded academic credit for:

• Beginning Arabic I00                                           4.5 quarter units
• Beginning Arabic I00A Language Lab             1.5 quarter units

Cost:  $252 per quarter unit
