Persian Culture, Context, and Language I Persian Culture, Context, and Language I

Language content includes:  Useful phrases in tourism, business, military and government operations, and the Persian alphabet. Cultural content includes topics such as religion, business etiquette, politics, political geography, and history.

Students who wish to receive academic credit will be required to:

• Take a test demonstrating the ability to identify the characters of the alphabet
• Write a 5-page essay relevant to the content of this module
• Complete level one module in the virtual language lab

On satisfactory completion of these additional requirements the student is awarded academic credit for:

• Beginning Persian I                                                 4.5 units
• Beginning Persian I Language Lab                     1.5 units
