Areas of Study

Persian Culture, Context, and Language II Persian Culture, Context, and Language II

Language content includes: Basic listening comprehension, grammar basics, and beginning conversation. Cultural content includes topics such as social structure in the Persian culture, Persian music, Persian cuisine, politics, and history.  

Students who wish to receive academic credit will be required to:

  • Take an audio test demonstrating the ability to understand spoken Persian phrases taught in module one
  • Take a multiple-choice test with questions relevant to the content of this module
  • Complete level two module in the virtual language lab 

On satisfactory completion of these additional requirements the student is awarded academic credit for:

  • Beginning Persian II                                                    4.5 units
  • Beginning Persian II Language Lab                        1.5 units
